Job description

Role: Mainframe Developer
Location: ONSITE- North Quincy, MA **Local to MA Profiles Required
Descriptions:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Strong Knowledge in following areas.
PL1, COBOL, DB2, JCL
SQL / Stored Procedure Development
Work experience in RTC / IDZ tools, JIRA
Knowledge of Online CICS, MQ and Batch Processing
Supporting tools like SPUFI, FILE-AID
Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
IT project management experience preferably in Financial Services/Custody
Experience with SDLC (Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall), Jira/Confluence,
Nice to have Knowledge of custody operations: corporate actions, income processing, settlements (DTC/Euroclear/Clearstream), reconciliation, SWIFT messaging (MT/MX/ISO 20022), cash management, and end-of-day processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
Plan and deliver end-to-end projects (requirements, design, testing, cutover, hypercare).
Manage RAID logs, and regular monthly status updates for senior management reporting on Clarity.
Coordinate UAT and production readiness; ensure stable post-go-live performance.
Align with risk, compliance, and audit standards; maintain an auditable change record
Ability to multi-task and to take the initiative when needed.
Manage IT budget planning and project time tracking on Clarity.
Participate in all aspects of software development, including design, implementation, deployment & beyond
Apply agile methodologies to streamline development and testing process
Managerial Skills
Delivery Discipline: Plans, prioritizes, and executes to target dates with high transparency.
Risk & Control Mindset: Designs processes and changes that are audit-ready and regulator-proof.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Structures ambiguous problems; uses data to drive decisions.
Collaboration: Integrates Ops, Tech, Product, and Compliance; resolves dependencies proactively.
Change Leadership: Guides teams through complex cutovers and stabilizes post-implementation.
