Responsibilities
  • Safety is paramount; all tasks must be performed in a safe manner, with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and in compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Participation in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and near-miss reporting is essential.
  • It is important to foster a team-oriented attitude and approach, while consistently meeting productivity standards.
  • The required documentation must be completed accurately and on time.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to quality or productivity, whether concerning the team or machinery, is a key responsibility.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to multi-task with minimal supervision while maintaining keen attention to detail is also required.
  • Adjustments to machinery should be made as necessary, and suggestions for process or procedure improvements are encouraged.
  • Coordination with lab personnel, Team Leaders, and Senior Process Engineers is vital for addressing issues and implementing improvements. Perform 5S and other housekeeping duties required for clean and safe work environment
  • Obtaining and maintaining three certifications is necessary, and training others as needed is part of the role.
  • It is crucial to have knowledge of and adhere to all departmental rules, regulations, and procedures, as well as to perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school education or GED equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Recent manufacturing experience is preferred.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Job functions will be performed in and around manufacturing facility

 

EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work is performed on the plant floor with frequent contact with others.
  • Required to frequently ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.
  • Required to safely access fast moving machinery, which includes rolls with inward nip points.
  • Requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity.
  • Required to occasionally ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to safely access fast moving machinery, which includes rolls with inward nip points.
