Description:

Position Type: Full Time Hourly 

Shift: 1st Shift 

Work Model: On Site 


Position Summary 

Responsible for developing and executing quality control and inspection plans to ensure that our products and services comply with all internal and external customer requirements This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting continuous improvement efforts.


  • Develop in process and final inspection plans based on product requirements and manufacturing process capabilities
  • Capable of operating a Zeiss CMM with light programing in Calypso when required
  • Perform dimensional inspections using CMM, micrometers, height gages, optical comparator, profilometer, and a variety of other measurement equipment as needed
  • Review process documentation and material certifications to verify compliance with all applicable requirements
  • Prepare final inspection reports, AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
  • Prepare PPAP’s, Build Books, Measurement Systems Analysis, Gage R&R studies, SPC control plans and additional quality engineering analysis as needed
  • Initiate NCM’s for non-conforming materials and Corrective Action Reports. Coordinate MRB dispositions and Corrective Actions with representatives from machining, external suppliers, and internal customer liaison
  • Maintain gage calibrations in accordance with QMS requirements



Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience in quality inspection or a high precision aerospace manufacturing environment
