  • Perform system-level analysis to evaluate occupant injury metrics across multiple crash configurations
  • Optimize performance of restraint and interior components including:
    • Airbags (frontal and side)
    • Seat belts
    • Seats (1st and 2nd row)
    • Steering column
    • Instrument panel and interior trim components
  • Collaborate with Design Release Engineers (DREs) and suppliers to ensure accurate CAE model correlation and integration
  • Ensure CAE models are updated with latest CAD data and aligned with physical test assumptions
  • Work cross-functionally with:
    • Safety structures teams (BIW performance alignment)
    • Interior and chassis teams for system-level optimization
    • Testing teams to align CAE models with physical validation results
  • Support occupant safety attribute delivery across all program phases through Start of Production (SOP)
  • Participate in test lab activities as required to validate CAE assumptions
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Biomechanics, or related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in occupant safety / crash CAE
  • Strong expertise in LS-DYNA and associated pre/post-processing tools such as:
    • ANSA / META
