As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and support forklifts, material handling equipment, and industrial equipment throughout your assigned service territory.
You will work directly with customers, solve complex mechanical problems, and play a key role in keeping their operations running safely and efficiently.
This is not an entry-level technician role. This position is designed for someone who can take ownership of service calls, troubleshoot independently, communicate clearly, and represent WMH professionally in the field.
You may also support and mentor less experienced technicians when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  •  Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting 
  •  Repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, engine, and powertrain systems 
  •  Complete preventative maintenance inspections 
  •  Conduct safety inspections and equipment evaluations 
  •  Document service activity, repair details, labor time, and repair recommendations 
  •  Communicate directly with customers regarding equipment condition and repair solutions 
  •  Manage service calls efficiently within your assigned territory 
  •  Work independently while maintaining strong communication with service leadership and support teams 
  •  Support and mentor junior technicians when needed 
  •  Maintain exceptional customer service and professionalism 
  •  Follow WMH safety, service, and documentation standards
We are looking for an experienced technician who is dependable, mechanically strong, safety-minded, and comfortable working directly with customers in the field.
The right person can troubleshoot beyond the obvious issue, explain repairs clearly, manage their own day, and take pride in getting equipment back up and running the right way.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Forklift Technician, Field Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, Equipment Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar technician role 
  •  Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills 
  •  Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical systems, engines, drivetrains, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment 
  •  Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation 
  •  Strong communication and customer service skills 
  •  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  •  Ability to manage service calls, customer expectations, and repair documentation professionally 
  •  Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record 
  •  Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in industrial environments 

Preferred Qualifications
  •  Material handling industry experience 
  •  Forklift repair experience 
  •  OEM dealership experience 
  •  ASE certifications 
  •  Forklift certifications 
  •  Advanced electrical troubleshooting experience 
  •  Diesel engine repair experience 
  •  Battery-powered equipment experience

Field Service Schedule & Territory
This is a full-time field service role supporting customers throughout an assigned service territory.
You will receive a company-provided take-home service van, fuel card, tablet, and the tools/support needed to manage service calls efficiently.

Travel time is paid, and your work will directly support customers who rely on WMH to keep their operations moving.
