What does a senior level designer do?

A Senior Level Designer is responsible for creating engaging, balanced, and visually appealing game levels or environments. They collaborate closely with artists, programmers, and other designers to ensure that levels support the game's mechanics, narrative, and overall player experience. Their duties include planning layouts, building and scripting gameplay events, playtesting, and iterating on designs based on feedback. Senior Level Designers also mentor junior staff and help set design standards and best practices for the team.
