We are looking for a Senior Learning Consultant focussed on the Mastery Connect product (dedicated on-site) to work with large institutions from multiple markets including K12, Higher Ed, Business & Government, etc. as part of our Learning Services Dedicated Consulting team. Senior Learning Consultants will deepen and elevate client use of Instructure products (Mastery Connect) to meet organization-specific initiatives and pedagogical goals across their institution by offering project management, change leadership, customized consultation, resource development, pedagogical expertise, and hands-on targeted coaching. With an aim to lead positive change, increase product adoption, enhance learner engagement, and drive organization-specific initiatives, the team tailors both content and the customer experience to support institutions.
A successful Senior Learning Consultant will confidently build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to be able to understand and prioritize their needs with the goal of providing exceptional value and a positive experience.
What you will be doing:
  • Provide guidance through the use of best practices in assessment and Mastery Connect.
  • Support the customer's vision for using Mastery Connect and other Instructure tools and products.
  • Share strategies for change leadership, understand the current state and planned future state, and work to support the organization's vision.
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand and support the customer's communication, training, and engagement plans and timeline, and seek to mitigate risks.
  • Develop an assessment strategy by determining instructional approaches, student experience, program development, faculty interactions, and assessment needs.
  • Coordinate programmatic strategy during assessment development and work with key stakeholders to support communication, training, and engagement plans/timelines, and seek to mitigate risks.
  • Curate and create plans, resources, and materials to address customer needs.
  • Curate and create adoption resources and professional development materials to address customer needs, including best practices for formative assessment, curriculum maps, benchmarks, and updates on new and enhanced features.
  • Assist with the execution of key plans, including deployment of Instructure product-related assessment strategy and promotion of resources to enhance engagement. Provide best-practice guidance on Mastery Connect related projects.
  • Sustain growth by regularly reviewing pertinent data and setting next phase goals.
  • Support staff with recommendations of Instructure product best practices that connect to the institution's instructional framework, and provide workshops for admins, PD and curriculum leaders, instructional coaches, and other instructional staff.
  • Assist with product use; provide feedback and coach staff through making changes.
  • Assist with Mastery Connect assessment development, deployment, and facilitation for formative assessment, curriculum maps, and benchmarks; provide feedback on assessments and coach staff through making changes.
  • Build the capacity of institution experts with targeted consulting sessions and ongoing coaching, and provide mentorship and support of the customer team as needed and appropriate.
  • Provide expertise in Mastery Connect administration, including incorporation of the Canvas LMS integration.
  • Attend meetings for planning and progress updates.
  • Complete other tasks and assignments that support the customer's use of Instructure products.

Here is what you will need to know/have:
  • At least five years of Instructure product experience is required, including best practices in Mastery Connect and making engaging Canvas courses that are responsive, accessible and inclusive of teaching and learning needs.
  • At least one year of experience with other Instructure tools.
  • At least one year in an educational leadership position overseeing a team who supports the use of a learning management system for pedagogical purposes, more preferred.
  • Experience leading change, building strong relationships, and rolling out a technology platform to a large organization.
  • At least one year of experience building effective professional development for educators.
  • At least three years of teaching experience, including experience with a digital learning environment.
  • Current knowledge of technology adoption strategies, professional development protocols, and educational technology best practices.
  • Impeccable executive leadership presence and top notch verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinking, strong problem solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and be comfortable with ambiguity while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Experience with delivering quality presentations in a professional environment.
  • Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology, or equivalent. Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or Instructional Technology a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites may be required. Future assignments may require additional travel and extended onsite engagements in other locations.
