Multimedia Toolkit Lead Developer (Senior Software Engineer) | Petabyte-Scale Multimedia Analysis | Active TS Required, SCI Eligible | Clarksburg, WV
Are you a senior software engineer with deep expertise in multimedia processing and a passion for leading high-impact development teams on mission-critical platforms? We are looking for a technically elite, hands-on leader ready to own the architecture and evolution of a petabyte-scale multimedia review tool supporting a critical government mission. WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Multimedia Toolkit Lead Developer, you will serve as the subject matter expert for the entire multimedia review tool code base, leading a team of developers to deliver new capabilities, resolve complex software issues, and integrate cutting-edge security enhancements. Using Agile methodology, you will deliver incremental builds aligned to MXU requirements, while enhancing the tool's ability to visually display, correlate, and report multimedia data based on metadata and analytic results. You will integrate ingestion workflows across geographically distributed systems with limited bandwidth, embed advanced analytics for intuitive image review, and own the full deployment and sustainment lifecycle across all MXU development and operational environments. This is a role for an engineer who thrives on technical ownership, team leadership, and building tools that directly empower mission analysts. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications:
- Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; active Top Secret clearance at proposal submission with the ability to obtain SCI access
- Location: Clarksburg, WV
Required Technical Skills:
- Petabyte-Scale Multimedia Systems: In-depth knowledge of multimedia processing, analysis, and data management, with direct and recent experience building petabyte-scale multimedia analysis platforms
- High-Throughput Application Development: Experience developing and maintaining applications that handle petabyte-scale data and high-throughput processing
- Programming & Front-End Technologies: Proficiency in Java, along with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue
- Agile & CI/CD: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Technical Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team, including setting goals, assigning tasks, and driving projects to completion
- Complex Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues across a large, evolving code base
- UI/UX Design: Experience with user interface and user experience design, ensuring tools are accessible, intuitive, and efficient for end users
- Systems Engineering & Deployment: Ability to perform systems engineering and administration to deploy and maintain the tool across all designated development and operational environments NICE TO HAVE
