As an Investment Research Analyst, essential responsibilities include:

Provides information regarding various securities and technical advice to Investment Officers with respect to investment decisions.

Make use of sources such as annual or industry reports, trade journals, technical periodicals, and brokersโ€™ and management reports to do research and analysis of investments.

Initiates and conducts research relating to the investment suitability of various securities.

Maintains and updates various security lists and investment models.

Prepares research reports on fund performance and provides analysis to present to investment officers or committees.

Assists Investment Officers in researching various investments consistent with client investment parameters

Lead trading activities within client accounts per Investment and Trust Officer direction, including department-wide model reviews and rebalances.

Maintain and regularly update investment models across full range of investment objectives.

Works closely with outside managers in trading activities to ensure trades are completed timely and within client specifications.

Make outside sales calls with Investment Officers, as requested.

Document minutes for both internal departmental meetings and meetings with external partners.

May be asked to assist with inside sales and service, working with small accounts, structured portfolios, and facilitate customer service and cross-selling activities.

Assists Trust Officers and Investment Officers in client meeting packet preparation.

Assists Investment Officers and Trust Officers with client proposals and RFPs.

Prepare quarterly performance reporting for client accounts.

Generate and maintain reports for monthly and quarterly committee and sub-committee meetings.

Portfolio management of smaller model-based accounts.

Serves as the main point of contact in relationships with brokers, third party investment managers and vendors providing investment performance and research to STAR.

Performs due diligence on brokers and third-party investment managers consistent with STAR policies and procedures.

Skills Needed
