Job Status: Full-Time

Reports To: Director, Trade Operations

Positions Supervised: None

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexible working hours between 7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.; occasional nightly work between 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. as needed

Position Summary

The Sr Analyst - Custody & Investment Operations supports the administration, maintenance, and servicing of retirement plan investment accounts across multiple custodial platforms. This position assists with transfers in-kind, Self-Directed Brokerage Account (SDBA) operations, Collective Investment Trust (CIT) participation agreements, Stable Value fund participation agreements, account opening and account maintenance activities, and custodial asset movement.

The role works with custodians, fund companies, Stable Value providers, advisors, internal operational teams, and compliance partners to help ensure accurate account establishment, asset transfers, investment product onboarding, and ongoing custodial administration. The position also supports trade operations activities, reconciliation processes, documentation, and operational improvement initiatives. The role works closely with other members of the Trade Operations Department as many of the essential functions are shared across the department and not owned holistically by one team member.

Essential Functions Custodial Account Administration
  • Complete new account applications and account establishment requests with custodians.
  • Maintain retirement plan, omnibus, trust, CIT, Stable Value, and brokerage account records across multiple custodial platforms.
  • Process account maintenance requests, including trustee changes, authorized signer changes, address updates, banking updates, plan mergers and acquisitions, and corporate actions.
  • Act as a point of contact for custodians regarding routine account administration questions and documentation needs.
  • Track and maintain custodial account documentation, open items, and required follow-ups.
  • Research and help resolve custodian account discrepancies.
  • Coordinate transfers in-kind involving mutual funds, Collective Investment Trusts, Stable Value funds, and Self-Directed Brokerage Accounts.
  • Work with custodians, fund companies, and investment providers to support timely and accurate transfer processing.
