About the Role

Sr. Analyst, Investment Data & Analytics is a member of the Portfolio Management team and serves as a critical partner to portfolio managers, asset allocation professionals, and investment leadership. This role is responsible for ensuring that investment decisions are supported by accurate, timely, and actionable data. The position combines investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, data management, automation, and process improvement to strengthen the firm's OCIO investment platform.

The ideal candidate enjoys working at the intersection of investing, analytics, and technology and is passionate about turning complex investment data into meaningful insights that improve portfolio outcomes. This role partners closely with Investment Operations, Technology, and Research while supporting the day-to-day needs of Portfolio Management.

What You’ll Do
  • Support portfolio managers with investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, and asset allocation initiatives.
  • Prepare data, analysis, and reporting used in Strategic Asset Allocation and Dynamic Asset Allocation reviews.
  • Develop tools and dashboards that improve visibility into portfolio exposures, risks, positioning, liquidity, and implementation.
  • Assist with portfolio construction analyses across public and private market portfolios.
  • Support manager implementation and portfolio transition activities.
  • Help identify trends, risks, and anomalies across portfolios and client accounts.
Investment Data Management
  • Ensure portfolio managers have access to reliable, accurate, and timely investment data.
  • Monitor the quality of data flowing from custodians, accounting systems, market-data providers, and internal applications.
  • Reconcile data discrepancies and partner with Operations to resolve exceptions.
  • Oversee data validation processes supporting performance measurement, portfolio monitoring, and investment reporting.
  • Maintain documentation of critical investment data workflows and controls.
Data Analytics & Automation
  • Build and enhance portfolio monitoring tools, dashboards, and analytical reporting.
  • Develop automated workflows that improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of investment data pipelines.
  • Partner with Technology and Operations to improve data availability and data quality.
  • Utilize quantitative tools to improve portfolio oversight and investment decision support.
  • Support implementation monitoring of model portfolios and client allocations.
  • Conduct allocation drift analysis and monitor adherence to investment policy targets.
  • Analyze benchmark exposures, client positioning, and portfolio characteristics.
  • Assist with investment committee materials and portfolio review presentations.
  • Support special projects related to portfolio construction and investment strategy.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as a key liaison between Portfolio Management and Investment Operations.
  • Partner with Operations to improve trade implementation workflows and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Research, Advisors, Reporting, and Technology teams on investment-related initiatives.
  • Help establish best practices around investment data governance, quality standards, and controls.

QualificationsRequired

    • Investment operations with heavy analytical responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of portfolio construction and investment management concepts.
  • Experience working with portfolio accounting and investment data.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting institutional or OCIO portfolios.
  • SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience with FactSet, Black Diamond, SS&C, Addepar, Clearwater, Tamarac, or comparable systems.
  • Experience building dashboards, automated reporting, or analytical models.
  • CFA, CAIA, CIPM, FRM, or progress toward designation.
