Job description

At Range, we're building towards a world where anyone can live the financial life they imagine for themselves. If that sounds like a mission you want to be a part of, let's create it together.
We're building AI-powered wealth management. Investments, taxes, retirement, estate planning, all in one platform instead of scattered across different advisors and apps. We're backed by Google's Gradient Ventures, Cathay Innovation, Scale Venture Partners, and more. We're growing fast while still small enough that everyone's work is visible and impactful.
About the role
We're looking for an Investment Analyst to join our growing investment team at Range. In this role, you will play a critical part in building out a best-in-class investment management offering by supporting portfolio construction, manager and vehicle research, and market analysis, while guiding members toward their investment goals.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team building both a suite of institutional-quality investment offerings and the operational infrastructure to implement them from the ground up. You'll work directly with senior investment leadership to translate macro views and strategic asset allocation decisions into thoughtful research, execution, and ongoing analysis. You will play a critical role in distilling market developments to our planning team and disseminating our investment recommendations and analysis to our members via meetings, messages, and published content.
But we're looking for more than just technical skill - we're looking for someone who is deeply curious about markets, energized by AI, and ready to build the future of wealth management.
This role is based in our headquarters in McLean, VA, or our New York City office. Employees hired for this position will work in-office Monday-Friday. If you are not currently located in the area, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for employment.
What you'll do with us
  • Partner closely with investment leadership to support portfolio construction, asset allocation decisions, and the implementation of top-down investment strategy.
  • Meet with members to discuss portfolio strategy, investment management opportunities, and other investment-related topics.
  • Support implementation of investment strategies across member accounts, ensuring alignment with model portfolios and strategic targets.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research across asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and private investments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Financial Planning, Operations, and Engineering to improve investment workflows and tools.
  • Rapidly digest important market news and assist with the creation of investment memos, market commentary, and member-facing written and video content.

What will set you apart
  • CFA or CFP designations
  • Series 7 and/or Series 65 or Series 66 licenses
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Member-facing experience with HNW and UHNW individuals of all ages
  • Passion for the markets and strong investment acumen
  • Organizational and written communication skills
  • Experience using financial services technologies
  • Demonstrated interest in the tech industry, artificial intelligence, and/or experience with start-ups
  • Consumer fintech experience

Benefits
  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision
  • 401k plan
  • Technology allowance
  • PTO
  • Top of Market Pay
  • Paid parental leave
