Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Developer with deep SQL expertise to join our Integration Team. This role designs, builds, and optimizes the data transformations that power our enterprise integrations, and business applications โ€” translating complex business rules into performant SQL logic, supporting data flows across ERP, order management, warehouse, and e-commerce systems, and automating processes with Python. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who thrives on solving data problems end-to-end: from profiling and modeling source data, to writing and tuning complex queries, to ensuring data lands accurately and on time in downstream systems.

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข      Design and develop complex SQL transformations supporting enterprise integrations between core systems (ERP, order management, warehouse management, product data, and e-commerce platforms).

โ€ข      Implement business logic in SQL โ€” stored procedures, views, functions, and transformation layers โ€” translating functional requirements into reliable, maintainable database code.

โ€ข      Develop and maintain Python scripts for data movement, validation, automation, file processing, and API-based integrations.

โ€ข      Perform query and database performance tuning: analyze execution plans, optimize indexing strategies, refactor inefficient queries, and resolve throughput bottlenecks in high-volume transactional and reporting workloads.

โ€ข      Support ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows across on-prem (DB2/iSeries, SQL Server) and cloud (Azure) environments.

โ€ข      Partner with integration developers to define data mappings, transformation rules, and reconciliation logic for interfaces built on middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi).

โ€ข      Conduct data profiling, root-cause analysis, and data quality remediation for production issues; provide timely resolution for integration and reporting defects.

โ€ข      Document data models, transformation logic, and technical designs; follow change management and deployment standards.

โ€ข      Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and cross-functional IT teams (onsite and offshore) throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

โ€ข      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

โ€ข      7+ years of hands-on SQL development experience, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, and set-based transformation logic.

โ€ข      Proven experience implementing business rules and data transformations for system-to-system integrations.

โ€ข      2+ years of Python scripting for data processing, automation, or integration tasks (pandas, pyodbc/SQLAlchemy, REST API consumption, or similar).

โ€ข      Demonstrated expertise in performance tuning: reading execution plans, index design, statistics management, and query refactoring on large datasets.

โ€ข      Experience with at least one enterprise RDBMS at scale (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).

โ€ข      Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to trace data issues across multiple systems.

โ€ข      Effective communication skills and experience working with distributed onsite/offshore teams.

Preferred Qualifications

โ€ข     Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server as the primary development platform (T-SQL, stored procedures, SSMS, query optimization), with the ability to work across heterogeneous database environments.

โ€ข     Working knowledge of IBM DB2 on iSeries/AS400, Oracle, and other enterprise RDBMS platforms โ€” comfortable reading, querying, and integrating data from these systems as integration sources and targets.

โ€ข     Exposure to Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or Cosmos DB) and hybrid on-prem/cloud data environments.

โ€ข     Familiarity with integration middleware such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar iPaaS platforms.

โ€ข     Experience in supply chain, distribution, or retail domains โ€” order management (IBM Sterling OMS), warehouse management (Infor WMS), or product/master data (STIBO PIM/MDM).

โ€ข     Experience with source control (Git), CI/CD for database code, and Agile delivery.
