Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Senior Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (level 4) to join its Business Management team in Roy, UT OR Huntsville, AL. This is a full time on-site position.

The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

The selected person will:

  • Establish, configure, and maintain a compliant Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and associated cost-schedule control infrastructure for the SLCM-N program, ensuring full DoD and contract compliance.

  • Lead the development, update, and sustain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), incorporating contractual changes and baseline adjustments.

  • Apply EVMS and performance-measurement-baseline concepts across multiple control accounts, providing expert analysis of cost-schedule integration and forecasting (ETC/EAC).

  • Conduct comprehensive schedule-risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies that influence program-level decisions.

  • Produce, review, and present internal and external variance-analysis reports (budget baseline, funding forecasts, cost-risk assessments, IPMDARs, IPMRs, CFSRs, CCDR/CSDRs) to senior leadership and government stakeholders.

  • Prepare and submit all required government cost-performance reports and briefings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to DoD reporting standards.

  • Drive continuous-process improvement initiatives; design and implement moderate-to-complex solutions that enhance reporting methods, data integrity, and decision support.

  • Serve as senior liaison to program managers, functional managers, Cost Account Managers, and external customers; act as technical advisor and consultant on cost-schedule matters.

  • Mentor junior cost-schedule analysts, providing guidance on EVMS practices, data analysis, and stakeholder communication.

  • Oversee multiple high-visibility assignments with minimal supervision, proactively flagging issues, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with program objectives.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 8 years of Business, Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting and/or Aerospace and Defense Business-related experience, a Masters degree with 6 years of experience. A high school diploma/equivalent with 12 yrs experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience supporting DoD contracts and Integrated Master Schedules, including the preparation of Earned Value cost-schedule reports (IPMDARs, IPMRs, CFSRs, CCDR/CSDRs).

  • Proven experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP), SAP Business Warehouse, and Earned Value Management tools such as Deltek Cobra/MPM; advanced Excel (macros/VBA) skill set.

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.

  • 5 + years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience on complex, high value defense programs.

  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman contracts processes and procedures.

  • Experience assessing and integrating supplier/IWO data into prime contractor business systems.

  • Ability to lead CAMs and suppliers through Integrated Baseline Review (IBR)

  • Aerospace/defense industry experience, including work with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR) CDRLs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to brief senior internal and external audiences.

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
