Job description

Are you ready to go beyond your potential and reach something greater? At Deloitte, we believe in more than just growth-we believe in exponential possibilities. Here, your unique talents and ambitions are amplified by the power of our collaborative teams, innovative thinking, and mentorship. When you join Deloitte, you don't just build a career-you unlock unlimited opportunities, shaping your future and the world around you. Take the power of you and put it to the power of Deloitte. Reach your exponential!

Recruiting for this role ends on 12/01/2026.

Work You'll Do:

The world's largest industries are being reshaped by AI. Deloitte is building a new generation of AI-first products, and we need "founders-in-training" who think like builders, not consultants.

As an AI Innovation Summer Scholar, you'll ship working prototypes, test product-market fit, and present to Deloitte senior leadership to influence new AI first businesses Deloitte is launching in the market. No slide decks from the sidelines - you build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in 3-5 person teams to pursue a sector-specific AI product opportunity end-to-end.
  • Conduct sector and market discovery: analyze industry dynamics, map stakeholders, and pinpoint high-value customer pain points.
  • Translate insights into a clear problem statement, user personas, and prioritized use cases.
  • Get hands-on with Deloitte AI platforms and tools to accelerate solution development.
  • Design and build AI-native prototypes using large language models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, and multimodal capabilities as appropriate.
  • Rapidly iterate on prototypes with guidance from product leaders and engineers, incorporating feedback and improving usability.
  • Define and execute validation activities: user testing, collecting real-world feedback, and synthesizing findings into actionable changes.
  • Assess solution readiness by refining product positioning and go-to-market (GTM) narrative (target users, value proposition, differentiators).
  • Prepare concise demo artifacts (prototype walkthrough, storyline, key results, and next steps).
  • Present outcomes on Demo Day to senior innovation leadership, including the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO).

Who we are looking for:

  • The Builder - You've shipped something. A side project, a hackathon winner, an app, a model. You create before you're asked.
  • The Cross-Pollinator - You live at the intersection. IST meets finance. Engineering meets healthcare. You see connections others miss.
  • The AI Native - You've used LLMs, built agents, fine-tuned models, or created AI-powered workflows. You think in terms of what AI makes newly possible.
  • The Problem Hunter - You're drawn to messy, real-world problems. You ask "why does it work this way?" about systems most people take for granted.

The Team

Our Deloitte team plays a major role in directly embedding technology insights into our clients' organizational goals. At Deloitte, our consultants create sharply-focused solutions within an organization's operating model, accounting for its people, intellectual capital, technology, and processes. Engagement teams at Deloitte drive value for our clients but also understand the importance of developing resources and contributing to the communities in which we work. We make it our business to take issue to impact, both within and beyond a client setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Spring/Summer 2028 or have completed a bachelor's degree or higher by Spring/Summer 2028
  • Strong academic track record
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment
  • You must reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in progress in these areas of study:
  • AI Engineering, IST, CS, Data Sciences, Business, Applied Data Science, Cybersecurity Analytics & Operations, or related fields - we value cross-disciplinary backgrounds
  • Internship or project experience in AI, analytics, software engineering, or related fields
  • Demonstrated leadership in campus orgs, startups, open-source contributions, or volunteer initiatives

This is an entry-level opportunity intended for candidates interested in beginning or building a career in this field. We welcome applicants from a range of educational and professional backgrounds who meet the qualifications for the role. For roles that require a year or more of work experience, please review the experienced jobs within our careers site.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate is $48/hr.
