Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have partnered with a leading General Contractor that is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a high-performing construction team delivering complex infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity for a construction leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and wants to take ownership of large-scale projects from preconstruction through successful completion.

THE ROLE:

As Project Manager, you will provide overall leadership, coordination, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with the project team, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and successfully.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop project budgets, cost structures, and reporting systems to support financial control and accountability.
  • Work collaboratively with estimating and preconstruction teams to establish project strategies, budgets, and execution plans.
  • Partner with the Superintendent to develop project schedules, identify critical milestones, and proactively address potential delays.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships, including scope development, procurement, contract administration, and performance management.
  • Oversee project financial performance, including forecasting, cost reporting, billing, change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, and stakeholders through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Review project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, specifications, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including deficiency management, final documentation, stakeholder coordination, and lessons learned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 10+ years of construction experience with significant experience managing complex projects in a general contracting environment with a focus in water/wastewater.
  • CET, or P.Eng. designation preferred.
  • Experience managing lump sum contracts and complex stakeholder environment.
  • Experience with Design-Build and alternative delivery models is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
