Job description

IT Infrastructure Operations Senior Analyst
  • St. Louis, MO

Oversees operational processes supporting IT environment both on premise and in the cloud to ensure the environments perform within defined service level agreements. Infrastructure areas covered will include servers, storage, databases, networking, and cloud platform as a service offerings. The position will work closely with the Engineering team, End User Computing, and managed service partners to configure and manage processes around deployment, decommissioning, patching and updates, software packaging, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, alerting, incident resolution, and cost management. The position will also oversee Service Desk activities and ensure continued process improvement and that SLAs are adhered to.

  • BS Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts at all levels including Executive Leadership, IT leadership, Line Manager, and Individual contributor
  • Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives.
  • Analyses, designs, plans, executes and evaluates work to time, cost and quality targets.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people, process and systems with the ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
  • Advises on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism and can make appropriate choices from alternatives.
  • Maintains an awareness of developments in the industry. Takes initiative to keep skills up to date. Mentors colleagues.
  • Ability to quantify risks in IT solutions and communicate to other executives how to manage that risk
  • Proactively ensures security is appropriately addressed within their area by self and others.
