They work closely with project managers, clients, and technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, meet requirements, and function as intended. Their role often includes designing implementation plans, troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and training end-users. Senior Implementation Engineers typically bring several years of experience and deep technical expertise, enabling them to guide projects from initial planning to successful completion.

What are some common challenges faced by senior implementation engineers during large-scale software deployments?

Senior Implementation Engineers often encounter challenges such as managing complex integrations with existing client systems, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines, and troubleshooting unexpected technical issues during deployment. Job description

Job Description: Description: Location: United States, Remote Department: Implementation Reports To: Director of Implementation Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary, Exempt Compensation: TBD About AccuSourceHR AccuSourceHR is a full-service employment screening organization headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Since 1999, we have helped employers make faster, safer, and more confident workforce decisions through reliable screening technology, high-quality client care, and PBSA-accredited practices. We are investing in modern client experiences, workflow tools, integrations, automation, and better ways to help customers manage complex workforce processes with confidence. About the Role We are looking for a Senior Implementation Consultant to lead the implementation of AccuSourceHRโ€™s client-facing workforce solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role. The person in this role will lead early client implementations directly while also building the process, tools, documentation, and team structure needed to scale implementation over time. This position will own the client launch experience from post-sale handoff through kickoff, discovery, configuration, data readiness, testing, training, go-live, and early post-launch support. This role will work closely with Implementation, Product, Engineering, Operations, Client Success, Sales, Support, and Compliance to make sure clients are launched well and internal teams are aligned. This role will also support clients transitioning from prior HR, workforce, onboarding, screening, or employee record systems. This position will help ensure employee records, organizational structures, user access, documents, workflows, and related setup items are transferred, validated, and ready for launch. The ideal candidate has led SaaS or technology implementations in a client-facing environment, understands complex business workflows, and knows how to create structure where processes are still being built. Experience with HCM, HRIS, employee record systems, onboarding, or related HR technology is a strong advantage. What You Will Own Implementation LeadershipOwn the implementation approach for assigned client-facing solutions. Build clear implementation processes, templates, checklists, discovery guides, launch plans, training materials, and handoff standards. Define what a successful client launch looks like. Establish clear launch readiness criteria before a client goes live. Track implementation status, risks, open items, client readiness, and internal dependencies. Identify where implementation work can be standardized, simplified, or improved. Help determine future implementation team needs as client demand grows. Client Launch ManagementLead client implementations from kickoff through go-live and early adoption. Serve as the main implementation owner and escalation point during launch. Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and client responsibilities. Lead kickoff calls, discovery sessions, workflow reviews, status meetings, training sessions, and launch readiness reviews. Keep clients and internal teams aligned through clear communication. Manage multiple client launches at the same time without losing detail or follow-through. Ensure client expectations are clear before, during, and after implementation. Discovery and Workflow DesignLead discovery sessions to understand client goals, current processes, user roles, workflow needs, data needs, reporting needs, and launch success criteria. Translate client requirements into clear implementation steps and configuration decisions. Help clients align to recommended workflows while documenting where client-specific setup is needed. Identify process gaps, edge cases, and launch risks early. Document decisions, requirements, open questions, and handoff items clearly. Partner with Product and Engineering when implementation work reveals product gaps or unclear requirements. Configuration and TestingOversee client setup, including users, roles, permissions, workflow settings, forms, templates, notifications, dashboards, documents, and related configuration. Create quality checks to reduce configuration errors and launch issues. Validate setup against client requirements and internal standards. Build and manage test plans before launch. Coordinate client testing and track defects, questions, and changes. Confirm that key workflows are tested from both admin and end-user perspectives before go-live. Data, Migration, and Technical CoordinationCoordinate data readiness, data mapping, data validation, imports, user lists, employee records, locations, departments, job structures, templates, documents, and related setup items. Support clients transitioning from prior HR, workforce, onboarding, screening, or employee record systems by helping define what data needs to move, how it should be structured, and how it should be validated before launch. Work with internal technical teams and client stakeholders on approved integrations, data exchanges, user provisioning, SSO, SFTP, APIs, or other supported connection methods. Track technical requirements, migration risks, data gaps, blockers, and decisions. Help troubleshoot setup, access, data, workflow, and integration issues during implementation. Escalate technical blockers when needed while continuing to own client communication and project progress. Help distinguish between system defects, configuration issues, process gaps, data quality issues, training gaps, and client readiness issues. Training, Go-Live, and Post-Launch SupportDesign and deliver role-based training for client administrators, managers, operational users, and other stakeholders. Build training materials, quick-reference guides, client communication templates, and implementation documentation. Help clients understand how to use the solution and how to make it part of their daily process. Lead launch-day support and early post-launch support. Monitor adoption risks, client questions, workflow friction, and training gaps after launch. Ensure a clean handoff to Client Success and Account Management. Cross-Functional PartnershipWork with Product to share client feedback, recurring implementation issues, product gaps, and improvement opportunities. Work with Engineering and technical teams to clarify requirements and resolve launch blockers. Work with Operations to make sure implemented workflows can be supported after launch. Work with Client Success and Support to ensure clients are transitioned smoothly after go-live. Work with Sales when needed to clarify implementation scope, timelines, and client expectations before launch. Work with Compliance when implementation decisions involve sensitive data, documentation, screening workflows, or regulated processes. Requirements: Basic Qualifications7+ years of experience in SaaS implementation, client onboarding, professional services, customer success operations, HR technology, workforce technology, background screening, compliance operations, or a similar client-facing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys personally leading implementations while also building the playbooks, standards, documentation, and operational framework needed to support future scale. 3+ years leading complex client implementations, implementation teams, or cross-functional launch programs. Experience managing multiple client launches or implementation projects at the same time. Experience gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and translating client needs into system setup or implementation tasks. Experience supporting implementations that involve data migration, data mapping, record transfer, system transition, or setup from prior client systems. Experience working with technical teams on integrations, data imports, data mapping, user provisioning, SSO, APIs, SFTP, or system-to-system handoffs. Experience building implementation playbooks, project plans, training materials, process documentation, or launch frameworks. Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to lead senior client conversations and manage escalations. Strong project management, organization, documentation, and follow-through. Ability to work in a growing product environment where not every process is fully defined. Builder Mindset: You enjoy creating structure where it does not yet exist and are energized by building repeatable processes, documentation, training materials, and implementation standards. Preferred QualificationsDirect experience implementing HCM, HRIS, onboarding, workforce management, employee records, payroll-adjacent, or related HR technology solutions. Experience helping clients migrate employee records, organizational data, user roles, documents, workflows, or historical data from one system to another. Experience with employment screening, background checks, drug screening, workforce compliance, document management, workflow automation, or related operational systems. Experience working in a small or mid-sized SaaS, HR technology, compliance, or services organization where implementation processes were being built, improved, or scaled. Experience supporting clients in regulated industries such as healthcare, transportation, financial services, staffing, education, or government contracting. Experience building or scaling an implementation, onboarding, professional services, or client launch function. Familiarity with compliance-sensitive workflows, client-specific business rules, document collection, reporting, audit needs, and operational handoffs. Experience with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Excel, Google Sheets, Confluence, Lucidchart, or similar systems. Project management certification or formal implementation methodology experience is helpful but not required. The Profile We Are Looking ForHands-on leader: You can lead a client launch directly and also build the process for others to follow. Structured operator: You create clear plans, owners, timelines, risks, and next steps. Client-focused: You care about making the launch experience clear, organized, and successful. Process-minded: You look for patterns and turn one-off work into repeatable playbooks. Technically fluent: You can understand data, integrations, permissions, access, workflows, and system setup without needing to be an engineer. HCM-aware: You understand how employee records, organizational structures, user roles, workflows, and HR systems connect in a client environment. Clear communicator: You write and speak in a way that reduces confusion and drives action. Calm under pressure: You can manage client escalations, internal blockers, and launch risks without losing control of the project. High ownership: You do not wait for perfect clarity before moving important work forward. What Success Looks Like in the First 6 to 12 MonthsA clear implementation process is defined and being used across client launches. Client kickoff, discovery, configuration, data migration, testing, training, launch, and handoff templates are in place. Early client implementations are launched with clear ownership, fewer surprises, and better internal coordination. A repeatable approach is created for client data migration, including data mapping, validation, ownership, issue tracking, and launch readiness checks. Launch readiness standards are defined and used before go-live. Common implementation risks, blockers, and product gaps are documented and shared with the right teams. Client training and post-launch support are more consistent and repeatable. Internal teams have better visibility into implementation status, risks, and upcoming launches.
