About the Role

Reporting to the Director, HR Applications, Brookfield Renewable is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Analyst, HR Applications (Workday) to join our team. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Workday, partnering with HR, Payroll, IT, and business leaders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions. This role serves as a subject matter expert for Workday and is responsible for translating business requirements into system solutions, leading complex initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across the HR technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional Workday subject matter expert, providing guidance on system capabilities, best practices, and solution design.
  • Lead the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday functionality.
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules to support evolving business requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Lead Workday implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Coordinate testing activities and system validation.
  • Monitor Workday releases and assess impacts to existing configurations.
  • Troubleshoot complex Workday issues and provide expert-level support.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
  • Support reporting, analytics, dashboards, and data-driven decision making.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting, implementing, and optimizing HRIS or HCM applications.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
  • Strong expertise in Workday Core HCM, Talent, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll and related functionality.
  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security framework, organizational structures, and configuration methodologies.
  • Experience with EIBs, calculated fields, condition rules, reporting, and data loads.
  • Experience supporting integrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Workday certifications are considered a strong asset.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfieldโ€™s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
