High Performance Computing (HPC) Technology Systems Engineer VI
Salary: $215K based on education and experience
Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance w/ FS Poly
Location: FT. Meade, MD., National Business Park
Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information
systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems
engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of
experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering
experience would also be acceptable.
Certifications: None.
Job Description:
As an HPC Technology SE6, you will provide systems engineering
support to the HPC Technology team that can evaluate, integrate, and understand the
operations of cutting-edge, emerging systems' capabilities with the emphasis on applying
systems to unique HPC requirements. Responsibilities include supporting the following:
•Evaluation of vendor's system architecture and development environment with analysis
of systems' ability to satisfy unique HPC requirements.
•Conducting a thorough evaluation of Machine-Learning capabilities.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
•Experience in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering
issue and evaluating requirements to determine system suitability.
•Strong experience/interest in Machine-learning capabilities.
•Background in Hands-on systems analysis; computer architecture and operating
environment.
•Experience with high-level programming languages.
•Understanding of computational complexity, experience with signal processing.
•Ability to work independently on high-level technical tasking; learn vendor-specific
language.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
•Experience with IC industry and customer.
