In your role as a Senior Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and case managers, all working together to provide integrated care. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed assessments and screenings to evaluate each client's substance use history, mental health status, and specific treatment needs.
• Developing customized treatment plans that effectively address addiction issues while also considering underlying mental health challenges, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI).
• Collaborating with the treatment team to provide integrated support and care for clients, ensuring continuity and efficacy in treatment.
• Educating clients' families, fostering their involvement in the recovery process to create a supportive home environment.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards.

You will work primarily with individuals struggling with substance abuse issues, often addressing co-occurring mental health disorders. This includes clients from diverse backgrounds, necessitating cultural competence and sensitivity. Your role is pivotal in guiding clients towards recovery and personal empowerment, shaping their path towards lasting sobriety and improved overall well-being.

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

• Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• Possess a master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrate specialized training or substantial experience in the field of addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.
• Exhibit knowledge of best evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.

• Strong therapeutic and counseling skills, with proven ability to build rapport and effectively motivate clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with a diverse treatment team.
