POSITION SUMMARY

Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Senior Graphic Designer to apply our brand identity across marketing collateral, digital assets, and internal creative materials. This role translates business messaging into polished, on-brand visuals for marketing, sales, and executive teams, supports internal creative needs across the company, and helps organize and distribute Axiom Space's digital asset libraries. The ideal candidate is skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and proficient in PowerPoint, able to manage multiple fast-moving projects, and comfortable collaborating across departments on large-scale campaigns.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Apply and execute brand guidelines consistently across all design work, partnering with the Visual Content and Brand Manager to ensure alignment
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and executive teams to translate concepts and messaging into compelling visuals
  • Create marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and email templates
  • Design digital assets for websites, landing pages, and digital campaigns
  • Produce PowerPoint decks as needed, including pitch decks, executive presentations, and templates that align with brand guidelines
  • Ensure visual consistency and quality across all internal and external materials, providing art direction and feedback to contributors as needed
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Build and manage reusable design templates and asset libraries to improve team efficiency
  • Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders, incorporating feedback efficiently
  • Support or oversee management of Axiom's Digital Asset libraries in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Manage, maintain, and increase content engagement internally and externally through content discovery and use reporting, while reducing content requests through improved self-service efficiency
  • Serve as liaison for external partners on permission information, usage guidelines, and technical content issues, and collaborate across departments on large-scale campaigns and events
  • Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
  • Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent portfolio-demonstrated experience)
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in a corporate, agency, or startup environment
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of work: branding application, marketing collateral, digital design, and presentations
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint for building clean, professional decks
  • Experience working directly with marketing, sales, and executive stakeholders, translating concepts and messaging into visuals
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent design projects under deadline pressure
  • Familiarity with Figma or Sketch for digital/UI-adjacent design work
  • Experience tracking or reporting on content engagement and usage metrics
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present and defend design decisions to non-design stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally on large-scale campaigns or events
  • Experience with digital asset management systems and/or multimedia content support (video, photography, social assets) is a plus but not required
  • Experience with 3D modeling, design, or animation is a plus, but not required
  • Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements
  • This position may require access to export controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In accordance with U.S. export control laws, final candidates may be required to undergo additional export control screening to determine eligibility for access. Meeting these requirements is a condition of employment
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
