What is a Senior Graphics Designer?

A Senior Graphics Designer is an experienced creative professional responsible for conceptualizing and producing visual content across various media, such as print, digital, and social platforms. They lead design projects, collaborate with clients or stakeholders, and often mentor junior designers. Senior Graphics Designers play a key role in establishing and maintaining brand identity, ensuring high-quality and cohesive visual communication. Their work typically involves advanced use of design software, project management, and creative problem-solving.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Senior Graphics Designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Senior Graphics Designer, you need advanced skills in visual design principles, branding, and a strong portfolio, typically backed by a degree in graphic design or a related field. Mastery of industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with digital asset management systems are essential. • Style frames, presentation boards and campaign look-and-feel
  • Set concepts and visual storytelling for broadcast productions

You'll do your best work here if you:

  • Love big ideas and beautiful execution.
  • Enjoy collaborating with other talented creatives.
  • Can balance multiple projects without sacrificing quality.
  • Bring a positive attitude, creative curiosity and an exceptional eye for design.

Bonus Points

  • Industry recognition such as GDUSA, Communication Arts, ADDY, AAF, Telly, GDUSA, Clio, or similar
  • Experience supporting national retail or consumer marketing campaigns
