Compensation: $21.00 - $26.50 / hour
Description

Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a lab technician to join our Geotechnical Department.
This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.
What you will be doing
  • Perform basic geotechnical laboratory testing, including soil, concrete, and aggregate testing
  • Record and report lab results
  • Assist with laboratory accreditation
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment
  • Maintain a clean work environment and organize lab tools and equipment
  • Coordinate activities with the lab supervisor and project manager

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in geotechnical or environmental lab work preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Field support including sample pickup and delivery, concrete sampling and testing, concrete and asphalt coring, etc.
  • Vehicle maintenance
