The Position

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex site investigations and design programs. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys a balance of high-level technical analysis, project management, and mentorship. You will be responsible for taking projects from the proposal stage through to final design and construction observation.


Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive recommendations for shallow, deep, and specialty foundations, retaining walls, pavement sections, and slope stability

• Manage project lifecycles, including budgeting, scheduling, and acting as the primary point of contact for clients

• Design and oversee subsurface exploration programs; interpret field data and laboratory testing results to characterize soil and rock behavior

• Perform geologic mapping, reconnaissance, and land-use and hazard studies

• Conduct rigorous technical reviews of reports, calculations, and materials testing data completed by staff engineers and technicians

• Lead and supervise junior staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring technical excellence across the team

• Coordinate with clients to understand project needs and prepare detailed technical proposals


Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (Required); M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering (Highly Desirable)

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Colorado

• 10 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering

• Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., slope stability, settlement, and retaining wall design)

• Strong technical writing skills and a collaborative mindset
