Job description

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Phoenix Testing & Inspection (PTI) is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an engineer with strong technical knowledge and extensive experience preparing geotechnical engineering reports for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review geotechnical engineering reports.
  • Interpret field exploration and laboratory testing data.
  • Develop foundation, pavement, earthwork, and site preparation recommendations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and agencies.
  • Perform occasional site visits as needed.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, technically sound, and delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (Arizona preferred or ability to obtain).
  • Minimum 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Strong experience writing geotechnical/soils reports.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, and land development projects preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
