Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to guide full-stack development on a creative platform designed for large-scale, design-focused workflows. This role bridges detailed, interactive frontend interfaces and robust, high-performing backend systems. It involves more than delivering features; it includes setting the architecture, shaping long-term technical goals, and supporting the engineers on your team.

In this role, you will take on complex, open-ended problems, translating ambiguous requirements into well-scoped technical approaches and driving them through to production.

This position offers significant technical scope, with direct influence on both the product and the engineering foundation it is built on.

What You'll Do
  • Help establish architecture and quality coding practices for the platform's client and backend systems.
  • Define long-term technical solutions spanning the entire technology range, working closely with product and development to translate early ideas into well-engineered, production-ready experiences.
  • Compose and build fast, responsive, visually rich frontend interfaces that meet high design fidelity standards, using modern web frameworks and component-based architecture.
  • Architect backend services built for heavy traffic and high reliability, with emphasis on performance, fault tolerance, and observability.
  • Own the development and operation of controlled environments built for development, testing, and platform instance isolation.
  • Drive deployment strategy and infrastructure on Kubernetes-based clusters, including decisions around rollout, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across the team. Use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex to improve implementation speed and code quality. Help others integrate these tools into their workflows effectively.
  • Define and improve the developer experience: local development loops, CI/CD ergonomics, and tooling that keeps the team productive as the codebase grows.
  • Engage with customers and internal collaborators to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and refine workflows.
  • Mentor engineers on the team through code review, development feedback, and sharing technical knowledge across the stack.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in practice.
  • Practical experience developing and delivering production-quality full-stack systems, demonstrating comprehensive technical responsibility on complex products.
  • Proficiency in modern frontend development, including frameworks such as React, with experience building interactive, design-heavy, high-performance UIs.
  • Experience in backend engineering developing and managing scalable services under high traffic, emphasizing reliability, performance, and fault tolerance (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, Go, or similar).
  • Good engineering craft: readable, well-structured, production-quality code; clear opinions on testing strategy, system development, and long-term maintainability.
  • Experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including container orchestration, cluster management, and production reliability practices.
  • Practical experience with AI-supported engineering tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) and a proven history of incorporating these into actual development processes. True passion for the possibilities AI-enhanced engineering offers.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD practices and good instincts for developer experience and tooling.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate deep technical decisions to both engineering and product collaborators.
Nice to Have
  • Experience crafting and managing sandbox-based environments for multi-tenant or isolated workloads.
  • Background in building or contributing to internal developer platforms, shared infrastructure, or tooling that improved team-wide engineering velocity.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale Kubernetes platforms and production deployment patterns.
  • Experience with building systems, component libraries, or close collaboration with design teams on implementation quality.
