Magenta

El Segundo, CA

Job description

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Magenta is transforming how manufacturing operates. Manufacturing teams lose enormous amounts of time to documentation, reviews, compliance steps, supplier packages, work instructions, quality records, and process handoffs. Magenta helps those teams move faster by automating the document heavy work that slows production down. We're building a world-class engineering team to tackle complex problems at the intersection of AI, data, and enterprise workflows.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll work across the stack: building backend systems, APIs, and integrations while also crafting intuitive, performant frontend experiences that enterprise users love. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and AI teams to ship features end-to-end and help shape both the user experience and the technical foundation of the Magenta platform.

What You'll Do

  • Build and scale backend systems, APIs, and data integrations.
  • Work with cutting-edge AI technologies
  • Develop modern, user-friendly frontend applications (React, TypeScript, or similar).
  • Work closely with design to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, and AI teams to ship full features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code across the stack.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, architecture, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack development.
  • Strong backend skills (Python, Node.js, or similar) with experience building APIs and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in frontend development (React, TypeScript, or similar).
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Solid knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Bonus: familiarity with ML/AI systems, enterprise integrations, or manufacturing/industrial data.
  • Strong product sense: you care about usability as much as performance.
  • Willingness to work in-office from El Segundo, CA.

Why Join Magenta?

  • Build technology that directly impacts the future of AI for Manufacturing Workflows.
  • Competitive compensation (salary + equity).
  • Significant ownership and influence over product and technical direction.
  • Collaborative, engineering-driven culture.
  • In-person collaboration in El Segundo strongly preferred

If you're an experienced full-stack engineer who wants to solve complex problems at the frontier of AI and manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.
