Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support modern business applications. In this role, you will deliver end-to-end features across the stack building scalable backend services primarily in Java, crafting responsive web experiences using Angular and TypeScript, and designing reliable data solutions on Microsoft SQL Server. You will partner closely with product owners, business analysts, and other engineers to translate requirements into high-quality, maintainable solutions, and you will contribute to technical standards, code quality, and continuous improvement across the team. You will be handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) which requires adherence to applicable data privacy, security, and compliance standards of respective markets.

Required experience & competencies:ย 

  • 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise solutions (insurance/finance preferred).
  • Backend (Java): Strong Java/Spring Boot APIs, security, integrations.
  • Frontend (Angular): Angular, TypeScript, RxJS; build testable UIs.
  • Database (SQL Server): SQL Server schema, indexing, tuning, stored procedures.
  • Cloud/DevOps: Azure, CI/CD (Gitlab preferably), containers, monitoring, configuration.

Nice-to-Haves:ย 

  • AI/ML Exposure: Ability to integrate AI/ML model endpoints into applications and CI/CD pipelines using Azure ML or similar.
  • Data Technologies: Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.
  • DevOps Tooling: Hands-on experience using GitLab or Azure DevOps to manage source code, build CI/CD pipelines, and support automated deployments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Insurance/reinsurance or financial services domain experience.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Implementation: You will deliver end-to-end features across Java and Angular.
  • Backend Engineering (Java): You will build Java REST APIs and improve standards and libraries.
  • Frontend Engineering (Angular): You will build accessible, responsive Angular components integrated with APIs.
  • Data & SQL Server: You will optimize SQL Server queries, schemas, performance, and data integrity.
  • DevOps & Quality: You will improve CI/CD, tests, reviews, monitoring, and reliability.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: You will mentor engineers and collaborate via design, pairing, and reviews.
  • Process Improvement: You will improve processes, UX, efficiency, and stability, and reduce complexity.
  • Security, Compliance & Data Protection: You will follow secure coding practices and PII compliance requirements.
  • Problem Resolution: You will lead issue resolution and root-cause analysis for critical operations
