Job description

Job Title: Sr Asset Optimization Manager (P5)

Role

The Senior Asset Optimization Manager is responsible for improving the financial performance of the tower portfolio through rigorous assetbyasset analysis and coordination with various departments to execute efficiency strategies. This leader identifies, evaluates, and spurs implementation of opportunities to reduce operating expenses, including utility usage, taxes, rationalize or decommission underperforming assets, and identifying financial and operational targets to bring specific assets in line with best-in-class profitability and customer-readiness standards. The role partners crossfunctionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, Tax, and Customer teams to ensure maximum value creation across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Optimization & Financial Performance

  • Conduct detailed assetlevel evaluations to identify opportunities for cost reduction, utility optimization, revenue enhancement, asset disposition, reduce maintenance obligations, simplification and customer-readiness enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized portfolio improvement roadmap with quantified financial impact.
  • Lead the development of initiatives to reduce site OPEX, CapEx, land lease expense, and improve customer readiness.

Real Estate & Lease Strategy

  • Identify top targets for renegotiation, rent reductions, license increase minimums.  

CrossFunctional Leadership & Execution

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify cost-saving strategies and identify specific Business Units for action to reduce maintenance costs.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Work closely with Finance to report savings, track KPIs, and validate forecasted vs. actual impacts.
  • Collaborate to build reporting tools to track asset efficiencies, cost trends, and realized savings.
  • Present recommendations and results to senior leadership with clear business justification and financial modeling.

Site Rationalization & Asset Disposition

  • Lead comprehensive reviews to determine whether assets should be retired, consolidated, or sold based on usage, revenue, cost, and strategic relevance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, tower infrastructure, real estate optimization, or related assetmanagement fields.
  • Strong financial acumen, including ROI analysis, modeling, and business case development.
  • Proven success in costreduction initiatives
  • Ability to manage large datasets and use analytics to drive decisions.
  • Creative thinking and collaborative approach is required to be successful.

Expectations

  • Experience with tower management platforms, assetlevel databases, or utility monitoring systems.
  • Accounting and Finance experience.
  • Understanding of telecom network operations, power systems, and site construction.
  • Strong project management background with experience leading multidepartment initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build relationships across technical and business teams.

Success Metrics

  • Annualized OPEX savings delivered (utilities, rents, contracts, etc.).
  • Improvement in margin per asset towards best-in-class results.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and alignment across operational, legal, and financial teams.

To optimize collaboration, relationship building, and key stakeholder engagement, this role aligns to a 4:1 hybrid model which is in office Monday-Thursday with the option for remote work on Fridays.

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is $143,200 - $196,900 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
