AutoCAD Specialist

Location: Rochester, NY (Onsite)

Contract: 6–12 Months (Potential for Extension or Full-Time Hire)


Overview

A leading organization is seeking an AutoCAD Specialist to support a high-impact Infrastructure Project Management team. This position will focus on drafting, design, and documentation efforts, while also helping to strengthen internal AutoCAD capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and maintain detailed AutoCAD drawings and designs
  • Translate complex technical requirements into accurate visual representations
  • Support infrastructure and cable plant engineering teams with design documentation
  • Maintain organization of CAD files, standards, and documentation processes
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on AutoCAD tools and best practices
  • Partner with project managers and engineers to ensure design accuracy and alignment

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of AutoCAD experience, focused on drafting and design
  • Strong ability to visualize and represent complex design concepts
  • Background in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience supporting technical teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to train and mentor others

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Outside Plant (OSP) design
  • Familiarity with GIS systems
  • Exposure to surveying, project coordination, or infrastructure project environments
  • Prior experience supporting engineering or infrastructure teams

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
