Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced finance-forward Data & Analytics Manager to bridge financial insight with advanced analytics across the organization. This role will partner directly with Finance and Operations leadership to transform complex data into actionable business decisions, improve operational performance, and accelerate finance transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with hands-on data expertise, including large-scale data modeling, data engineering, data conditioning, Power BI, and modern analytics tools. This role is not purely technical; it requires someone who understands how project delivery, utilization, and margin drivers translate into financial performance in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale data models, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to support portfolio, pricing, and resource planning decisions
  • Develop and execute the Finance AI Strategic Roadmap by identifying practical use cases, coordinating stakeholders, and embedding AI-enabled insights into finance processes and decision-making.
  • Support strategic initiatives including profitability improvement, price leverage analysis, backlog optimization, and global scaling efforts
  • Identify drivers of margin, utilization, and project performance, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
  • Deliver concise, executive-ready insights and presentations for Finance leadership and ELT
  • Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to translate data into actionable financial insights and recommendations

Requirements and Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance analytics, business intelligence, FP&A analytics, or decision support, including ownership of KPI frameworks, data models, dashboards, and recurring performance reporting for senior business stakeholders
  • Strong experience with Power BI; experience building scalable dashboards and data models
  • Strong foundation in finance (P&L, margin drivers, utilization, forecasting) in a project-based or professional services environment
  • Experience developing and executing an AI/ML roadmap for finance, including identifying practical use cases and embedding predictive or AI-enabled insights into planning, forecasting, reporting, or decision-making processes
  • Deep understanding of project-based business models and how operational decisions impact financial outcomes
  • Proven ability to own analytics workstreams end-to-end, including data sourcing, data engineering, big data integration, data conditioning, and development of scalable data models that support executive-level insights beyond dashboard visualization
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, IT, and senior leadership to translate analytics into recommendations, and advise on business data informed outcomes
  • Demonstrated impact in driving performance improvement, cost optimization, or strategic decision-making
  • Ability to simplify complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, R, or Alteryx
  • Experience with ERP/project systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, CRM)
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools or predictive analytics applied to finance or operations
