Full-time position, Exempt employee

Office-based with occasional visits to site projects.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Director of Finance to join our dynamic team in the Landscaping industry. The ideal candidate will oversee financial management, budgeting, and forecasting while also managing the companyโ€™s asset portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of financials, project costing, and asset management to ensure profitability and efficient use of resources. Overall company budget and analysis, yearly forecast, budget to actual and monthly reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis for company projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support project performance and strategic decisions.
  • Manage and monitor cash flow and ensure that project budgets are adhered to, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage financial risks including cost overruns, delays, and resource allocation issues.
  • Work closely with project managers to track project expenses and ensure timely invoicing and payments.

Asset Management

  • Develop and implement strategies for asset acquisition, utilization, and disposal, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain an accurate record of assets, including construction equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring proper documentation and valuation.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement schedules for assets to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to track and manage asset utilization on-site.
  • Calculate and analyze life of asset costs/risks

Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics such as asset depreciation, cost analysis, and financial performance against budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and construction industry financial practices.
  • Coordinate with auditors for financial audits and prepare necessary documentation to support audit processes.

Strategy and Decision Support

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making related to project investments, asset acquisitions, and capital expenditures.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to optimize project profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the development of long-term financial strategies for asset growth and cost management.
