Our client, a leading private label and contract food manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst โ€“ Manufacturing to support financial operations across multiple production facilities. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with Plant Controllers, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership to drive manufacturing performance and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Financial Analyst

โ€ข Analyze and report manufacturing costs, variances, and operational performance metrics across two production facilities
โ€ข Own and maintain standard cost integrity within the ERP system, including setup, validation, and governance
โ€ข Partner with Plant Controllers, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate production reporting, labor capture, inventory valuation, and material usage
โ€ข Prepare monthly variance analysis with clear insights, trends, and actionable recommendations
โ€ข Build and maintain advanced Excel models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support manufacturing finance and operational decision-making
โ€ข Improve reporting processes through automation, standardized data flows, and enhanced reporting usability
โ€ข Support indirect spend analysis, supplier governance, and cost-saving initiatives in partnership with Procurement and Operations
โ€ข Assist with weekly plant reporting, month-end close activities, and ongoing financial analysis
โ€ข Act as a hands-on finance partner to plant leadership and operational teams
โ€ข Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost transparency and operational performance

Qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst

โ€ข 3โ€“5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or manufacturing finance
โ€ข Manufacturing, food manufacturing, or CPG experience strongly preferred
โ€ข Advanced Excel skills including complex models, Power Query, dashboards, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
โ€ข Strong analytical skills with the ability to work comfortably in large data sets
โ€ข Experience with ERP systems, reporting, and data reconciliation
โ€ข Understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost flows
โ€ข Comfortable being hands-on, asking questions, and directly supporting plant operations
โ€ข Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally across finance and operations
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
โ€ข Willingness to travel occasionally to the Beaver Dam, WI facility (typically once per month)
