Senior Exempt Recruiter – Business Unit and Functions


Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Senior Exempt Recruiter – Business Unit and Functions to join our Cummins Inc. team in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts to attract and secure high-quality talent for critical business and functional roles.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies that build diverse and sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Drive efficient candidate assessment and selection processes that align skills, experience, and organizational needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to deliver a seamless and positive recruitment experience.
  • Champion compliance with recruiting policies, employment regulations, and internal governance standards.
  • Leverage data, reporting, and key performance indicators to improve recruiting effectiveness and inform talent decisions.
  • Strengthen Cummins' employer brand by supporting talent attraction initiatives and market engagement activities.
  • Lead cross-functional recruiting projects and continuous improvement efforts that enhance talent acquisition outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead full-cycle recruiting initiatives while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong talent sourcing, candidate assessment, and selection capabilities with a focus on delivering quality hiring outcomes.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

  • Preferred experience managing full-cycle recruiting within an agency, corporate, or hybrid talent acquisition environment.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies to manage candidate workflows, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Apply data analytics and recruiting metrics to identify trends, measure performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills while balancing business priorities, candidate experience, and organizational goals.
  • Partner effectively across HR and business functions to deliver consultative talent acquisition solutions.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer focus, decision-making ability, and interpersonal effectiveness when engaging diverse candidate populations.
  • Foster an inclusive recruiting approach by recognizing and valuing diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
  • Bring a proactive, action-oriented mindset with the ability to influence outcomes, navigate ambiguity, and drive results.
