SUMMARY

As a senior technical anchor within the IT department, the ERP System Administrator owns the operational health, tactical evolution, and security of the university’s Colleague ERP environment. The ERP System Administrator is the primary steward of the university’s enterprise data environment. This role focuses on the high-level configuration, security, and health of the Colleague ERP system and its supporting SQL infrastructure. This individual leverages modern technology to automate business processes, ensure data integrity, and maintain seamless integrations across the campus ecosystem.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· System Ownership: Drive the daily maintenance, configuration, and overall health of the Colleague ERP and supporting SQL environment, while serving as the primary architect for major installations, upgrades, and system optimization.

· Business Process Automation: Identify opportunities to modernize manual processes through low-code automation, online forms, and workflow improvements that support ERP operations.

· Integration Management: Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of integrations between the ERP and connected platforms (including the LMS), maintaining the integrity and availability of critical business data across departments. Monitor and optimize ERP–LMS data pipelines and supporting APIs to ensure student, faculty, and grade data remain accurate and synchronized.

· Connected Systems Support: Provide technical support for external systems connected to the ERP, including troubleshooting integration issues, coordinating with vendors.

· Performance Engineering: Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and manage the installation of new software modules or patches.

· Collaboration: Act as a technical consultant for reporting services and data management, supporting accurate SQL-based reporting, data auditing, and cross-functional problem solving.

· Data Integrity: Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, database issues, and record-level errors within the ERP environment to maintain accurate, reliable, and trusted institutional data.

· End-User Escalation & Support: Serve as a primary point of escalation for end-user issues related to the ERP environment, providing advanced troubleshooting, guidance, and resolution support to ensure timely service and minimal disruption.

· System Integrity & Continuity: Ensure robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans are maintained for all database environments.

· Emergency Support: Remain on-call for critical system issues outside regular business hours to ensure 24/7 environment availability.

· Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other related duties as assigned in support of ERP operations, IT department priorities, and broader university needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; however, 5+ years of demonstrable expertise in ERP administration or database administration is a highly valued substitute.

· Technical Stack: Proficiency in SQL (administration and programming), PowerShell, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Azure.

· Preferred Skills: Windows Server Administration, Ellucian Colleague

· Interpersonal: Strong critical thinking and a customer-centric approach to troubleshooting.
