If you are a Senior Electrical PE who is tired of being boxed into one project type or one narrow role, this opportunity offers something different.

Join a growing Orlando MEP team where senior engineers have real autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the flexibility to work across a wide variety of projects. You can remain hands on technically, lead projects, mentor developing engineers, work directly with clients, and participate in business development based on where you want your career to go.

The team supports healthcare, hospitality, theme park, municipal, government, education, commercial, science and technology, and other complex building projects throughout Central Florida.

Lead high profile building projects across Central Florida while serving as Engineer of Record for an employee-owned national engineering firm.

This position is based in Orlando. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

What you will own:

  • Lead electrical engineering design for commercial, municipal, healthcare, theme park, hospitality, education, and government projects
  • Serve as engineer of record, stamping and sealing drawings under your PE license
  • Design power distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, low-voltage, and telecommunications infrastructure
  • Perform engineering calculations including load analyses, short-circuit studies, arc flash analyses, voltage drop calculations, and coordination studies
  • Develop construction documents (plans, specifications, and details) using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and architectural disciplines
  • Manage multiple project electrical scopes simultaneously, including budgets, schedules, and client communication
  • Conduct construction administration duties: RFI responses, submittal reviews, site observations, and punch lists
  • Mentor junior engineers, EI-level staff, and designers on the team
  • Participate in business development efforts including interviews, proposals, and client presentations
  • Apply relevant codes including NEC, NFPA, FBC, IBC, and local municipal requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (Florida PE preferred; ability to obtain FL PE within 6 months acceptable)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in MEP consulting engineering for buildings and facilities
  • Strong background in building power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Experience in Revit MEP for electrical design and production; AutoCAD proficiency as secondary
  • Experience with power system analysis software (SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower)
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, Florida Building Code, and IBC
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through construction administration
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior engineering staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing electrical systems for healthcare (FGI Guidelines), theme park, or municipal/government facilities
  • LEED AP or similar sustainability credential
  • Licensed in multiple U.S. states (firm supports multi-state licensure)
