Core Responsibilities
  • Engineering Leadership: Architect and oversee the full lifecycle of electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting controls, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage integration for high-impact commercial and institutional projects.
  • Project Stewardship: Steer multi-discipline teams from concept through construction completion, ensuring every milestone is met with technical precision, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Collaborative Integration: Lead design and construction meetings, serving as the primary technical point of contact to ensure electrical systems are perfectly synchronized with architectural and mechanical requirements.
  • Technical Authority: Perform and review rigorous engineering calculations and technical reports to ensure total system performance and rigorous compliance with evolving building codes.
  • Field Advocacy: Conduct high-level construction administration, including site visits, RFI resolutions, and submittal reviews to ensure design intent is flawlessly executed in the field.
  • Strategic Growth: Partner with the Marketing Director to support business development initiatives, leveraging your technical credibility to build and maintain premier client relationships.
  • Mentorship & Quality: Uphold the firm's baseline of excellence by overseeing the technical accuracy of documentation and coaching junior engineers in Revit and AutoCAD workflows.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Experience: 8+ years of recent electrical design experience specifically within an MEP, architectural, or engineering consulting firm.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert command of Revit and AutoCAD, with professional experience in Bluebeam and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Management: Proven track record of managing project budgets, schedules, and multi-discipline coordination.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead client-facing discussions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas.
