Overview
Microsoft US (United States) Public Sector Industries Finance team is looking for a Senior Finance Manager, Public Sector Customer Success, with advanced analytical and communication skills, business acumen and thought leadership to support and drive consumption and usage to enable our team's growth ambitions.
This role encompasses full left-to-right responsibilities for financial management, resource allocation, and deal/customer insights, working with business leaders and their teams, and engaging across the entire Americas business. Additionally, you will be leading and orchestrating all key processes, such as Close, Forecast, and Budget by partnering with key stakeholders across Americas Finance and MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions) Finance Business Analyst communities. Executive maturity and balanced self-awareness will be important in influencing business partners and driving thought leadership beyond the pure finance mandate. In this role, you will need to operate with a high degree of agility and navigate multiple stakeholder requirements, while enabling the accelerated growth aspirations for the business in an evolving market environment.

Responsibilities
Prioritize
  • Drive Azure consumption growth strategy with Customer Success organization; Support focus areas, such as Unified, Commercial attach and whitespace opportunities.
  • Drive insights on consumption (MACC - Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment / ACR - Azure Consumed Revenue, usage), optimization/churn analysis, and support account-level action plans on consumption.
  • Drive productivity insights for customer success organization resources, including Capacity Utilization for meeting customer obligations.
  • Support budget and forecast; Drive revenue growth across all product offerings.
  • Provide actionable insights to the business to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results.
  • Support CFO (Chief Financial Officer) forecast and budgeting process to land growth commitments with clear assumptions and drivers. Understand and manage business risk.

Partnership
  • Communicate results and insights to leadership in a compelling and crisp manner with deep understanding of the business.
  • Drive actions with stakeholders to achieve business goals, including revenue generation, resource allocation, and investment decisions through close collaboration.
  • Lead on-going efforts to develop and evolve our insights framework with key partners across finance and business to stay up to date with the business needs and land growth opportunity.
  • Deliver impact by building on the work of others, aligning people and resources, and fostering shared accountability.

Protect
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes; drives corrective measures.
  • Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with Compliance groups to ensure team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Proven team player and collaborator who has demonstrated solid energy in ambiguous situations. Ability to handle a high degree of ambiguity, and fast paced change management.
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including analysis, forecasting, planning, reporting, and developing financial models; Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept polished communication with demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple groups; responsive with solid customer service orientation.
  • Deep analytical skills, ability to work in collaboration with cross functional teams and partner and influence decision makers.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
