Lead Install Crew Driver (CDL-A)

Affordable Cesspool Sewer & Drain | Islandia, NY

Affordable Cesspool Sewer & Drain has proudly served Long Island since 1992 and is one of the area's leading septic, sewer, drain, excavation, and wastewater service companies.

We are seeking a Lead Install Crew Driver (CDL-A) to join our growing installation division. This is a critical role responsible for transporting equipment and materials, coordinating daily logistics, supporting installation crews, and helping ensure projects start on time and stay on schedule.

This is not just a driving position. The Lead Install Crew Driver works directly with the Install Manager, Foremen, Suppliers, and Field Crews to ensure the right materials, equipment, and resources are where they need to be every day.


Responsibilities

  • Transport excavators, skid steers, backhoes, loaders, and construction equipment
  • Haul septic tanks, precast rings, manholes, pipe, stone, sand, RCA, topsoil, and other construction materials
  • Pick up materials from suppliers, precast yards, and vendor locations
  • Load and unload equipment and materials safely and efficiently
  • Review daily load sheets and material lists
  • Coordinate directly with the Install Manager regarding project schedules and material requirements
  • Communicate with Foremen throughout the day regarding deliveries, job progress, and additional material needs
  • Verify all materials, fittings, and equipment are delivered accurately and on time
  • Maintain delivery tickets, receipts, and load documentation
  • Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and professional
  • Assist installation crews with minor labor tasks when deliveries are completed
  • Help unload materials, stage equipment, prepare job sites, and support crews as needed
  • Take ownership of job site logistics and help keep projects running efficiently


Qualifications

  • Valid CDL-A License
  • Manual transmission experience required (8LL and 18-Speed)
  • Experience hauling heavy equipment and construction materials
  • Experience in the septic, cesspool, excavation, utility, sitework, asphalt paving, trucking, or construction industries required
  • Experience operating or transporting excavators, skid steers, and heavy equipment required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of load securement and DOT regulations
  • Clean driving record
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to perform physical labor and assist crews when needed
