Job description

Position title: Chief Logistician

Location: Fort Bragg (Fort Liberty), NC

Clearance required: SECRET

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Oversee and manage all logistics and supply chain functions in support of SOMTC operations.
  • Maintain accurate accountability of government property in compliance with DoD and Army regulations.
  • Utilize GCSS-Army to track requisitions, manage inventory, and execute supply transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to Army supply policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to support training requirements and sustainment operations.
  • Provide expert guidance on supply chain best practices, process improvements, and compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with supply program stakeholders.
  • High school diploma.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Army Supply System.
  • 2 years of GCSS-Army experience.
  • Working knowledge of Army supply regulations.
  • Knowledge of DoD Property Book accounting policies and regulations.
  • 5 years of logistics experience.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification via the American Society of Transportation and Logistics or the International Society of Logistics.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
  • Established supply program relationships.
