Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Salary Range $41,091.00 - $77,045.00 DOE

Job Summary
Diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, and overhauls commercial trucks.
Specialized vehicles - Log Trucks
Daily repairs and maintenance to include greasing, oil & filter changes
General Accountabilities
Repairs and replaces damaged or worn parts.
Dismantles and resembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
Operates and inspects machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance.
Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment.
Reads and understands operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Overhauls and tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Fits bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul equipment.
Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs.
Examines parts for damage and excessive wear.

Company Description

Our family-owned business has been in the log trucking industry for over 75 years, spanning three generations. We are currently seeking a senior diesel mechanic to join our team. In addition, we have several shop assistants and helpers. Our goal is to build a team of competitive employees who can work together to achieve success in the log trucking, logging and dump truck industry. We operate 12 - 14 late model KW log trucks and a dump truck, including a few ‘jewels’ that are used daily.
