• The opportunity to contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient cargo handling operations.

• Load and unload containers, materials, and general cargo from vessels;
• Secure cargo on board vessels and assist with opening and closing vessel hatches;
• Assist with vessel mooring and unmooring activities;
• Operate mobile equipment when trained and authorized, including handling trucks and tractors;
• Clean vessel holds and work areas, and support general terminal activities as required;
• Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain safe distances around heavy equipment and suspended loads;
• Work collaboratively with equipment operators, crane operators, supervisors, and other members of the terminal team.

• A strong commitment to health and safety;
• The ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and handling loads;
• The ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions and around heavy equipment;
• Flexibility to work on call, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and extended shifts based on operational needs;
• The ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work effectively as part of a team;
• Reliable transportation to and from the Corner Brook terminal;
• Previous experience in marine operations, cargo handling, construction, warehousing, or heavy industry is considered an asset.
