The Opportunity

We are seeking a Bookkeeper | Client Services to join our Accounting Services team. This role is responsible for supporting multiple clients with day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, and client service.
The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a growth-oriented role, with the opportunity to advance into a Senior position based on performance, ownership, and demonstrated client service skills.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned Client Accounting Services (CAS) clients

  • Record financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledgers

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, as applicable

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules

  • Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies

  • Serve as a day-to-day accounting contact for assigned clients

  • Respond to routine client questions and escalate complex matters when appropriate

  • Maintain organized documentation and complete work in accordance with GAAP and firm standards

  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to process and workflow improvements


Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting principles

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop preferred

  • Public accounting, CAS, or outsourced accounting experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credential is a plus


Location & Work Arrangement

This role supports our Springfield, MO office, with in-office, hybrid, or remote arrangements potentially available based on business needs and role requirements.

We are also hiring in Branson, MO, where this position is in-office and supports Louisville-based clients.
