Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Senior Plumbing Designer - Single Family in Riverside, CA. The Senior Plumbing Designer is responsible for creating comprehensive plumbing designs for single-family residential projects using Revit and AutoCAD. This role requires an expert-level understanding of plumbing systems, constructability, and material requisitions to support both fabrication and field operations. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in the trade and excels in a design-build environment.

Job Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: $83,200 to $97,760 Annually BOE

Licenses/Certifications Required:
  • California Driver's License
Responsibilities:
  • Review architectural plans and set up Revit and CAD files provided by the architect for plumbing design integration.
  • Design comprehensive plumbing systems based on architectural drawings and established material specifications.
  • Generate isometric and lay-in drawings specifically for use by fabrication teams and field installers.
  • Prepare 3D Revit detail drawings, schedules, and isometrics for both plan/spec and design-build projects.
  • Review project submittals to identify space limitations and ensure overall constructability.
  • Develop Material Requisitions (MR) and perform detailed take-offs on all project drawings.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for fabrication and field operations throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in plumbing design, with a focus on residential or single-family construction.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Extensive experience with Revit (BIM) for 3D modeling, scheduling, and isometric generation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of material specifications and plumbing code requirements.
  • Experience performing material take-offs and developing requisitions.
  • Ability to support fabrication and field teams with technical design interpretations.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean DMV record.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard for prolonged periods.
  • Regularly spend multiple hours using and looking at a computer screen.
  • Specific vision abilities required for reviewing detailed technical drawings and 3D models.
  • May need to occasionally travel to job sites to provide technical support.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required occasionally.
 
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $83,200 to $97,760 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
