SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

RideNow Powersports is seeking a forward-thinking, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to assist with

RideNow's shared service accounting. Within a team environment, this position is responsible for helping to manage daily accounting operations, while driving process transformation through implementation of new systems, automation tools, and AI-assisted workflows. The position will work to efficiently streamline processes. In addition, this role will interact regularly with the retail dealership network, corporate accounting, treasury, FP&A, IT, HR, legal, and internal and external auditors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Retail and Corporate Accounting

  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Ensuring daily transactions, including recording of cash receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, marketing and payroll, and intercompany allocations are recorded properly.
  • Performing timely and accuratemonth-end journal entriesand balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany allocations.
  • Supporting month-end, quarter end and year-end close processes, including conducting fiscal year-end close activitiesand verifying all entries have been created and posted.
  • Maintaining and balancing inter-store accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reviewing and reconciling the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and taking proper actions to resolve them
  • Assist with audit coordination and liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies. This role supports the activities and requirements of external auditorsand completes the external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information.
  • Ensuring all finance and accounting operations comply withgenerally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)and federal and state laws and regulations.

Process Improvement

  • Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology, including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting software.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the accounting close process and implement best practices through consolidation, analysis and streamlined productivity, utilizing automation tools where feasible.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support recruiting operations, process improvement, and business needs

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in accounting, preferably in a franchise dealership or retail environment. Experience with ERP systems and accounting software preferred.
  • Specialized Experience: Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations. Exposure to auditing, SEC reporting and internal control documentation in accordance with SOX compliance is preferred. Experience in banking operations, ERP integrations, and reconciliation automation is also desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workloads efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including advanced EXCEL skills for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Superior data management and data analysis skills.

Systems Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Experience with

systems such as Sage Intacct, FloQast, or other large ERP systems is also beneficial.

Availability: Able to work additional hours as needed to assist with the month-end close.

Temperament: Friendly, outgoing personality with a can-do attitude, and a strong desire to learn new

skills in an evolving environment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional standing, walking, and movement within office or retail locations
  • Ability to travel occasionally to store locations as needed
  • Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.)
  • Ability to travel occasionally to retail locations (estimated <10%) to support process implementation, training, and operational alignment
