Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Calypso Developer with strong experience developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting enterprise trading and risk management applications within Capital Markets environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Calypso, Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, SQL, AWS, and enterprise integrations. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Calypso workflows, trade lifecycle processing, back-office operations, and production support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, customize, and maintain Calypso applications and platform enhancements.
  • Develop scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
  • Customize and extend the Calypso platform, including workflows, APIs, and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Calypso and enterprise/third-party financial systems.
  • Design and optimize SQL queries, database objects, data models, and ETL processes.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
  • Support production releases and ongoing Calypso platform enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business users, architects, analysts, and development teams.
  • Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Calypso development experience.
  • Strong experience customizing and extending the Calypso platform.
  • Experience with Calypso workflows, APIs, trade lifecycle processing, and back-office operations.
  • Strong Java programming experience.
  • Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
  • Knowledge of JBoss or similar enterprise application servers.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS and MQ.
  • Strong SQL development and relational database experience.
  • Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Experience integrating Calypso with enterprise applications and third-party financial systems.
  • Knowledge of AWS/cloud platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, Terraform, or similar DevOps tools.
  • Understanding of secure software development and cloud-native architecture.
  • Production application support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
