Description

Envision Innovative Solutions is seeking a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused Senior Database Administrator to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This onsite position is responsible for the administration, optimization, security, and availability of enterprise database environments supporting mission-critical systems..
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain the integrity, security, availability, and performance of multiple databases, including disaster recovery, monitoring, tuning, and index/partition optimization.
Administer Oracle and cloud native database technologies (AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB), including installation, configuration, OEM management, and life-cycle maintenance.
Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, queries, schema changes, and data structures to support efficient storage, retrieval, and application performance.
Implement and enforce database security policies, user account management, data at rest/in transit protections, and Oracle Label Security (OLS).
Support database migration efforts, including transitioning Oracle on prem environments to AWS RDS, and design solutions for resilience and high availability.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, locking issues, and system anomalies while directing performance optimization and structural redesign efforts.
Evaluate DBMS products, recommend solutions, and guide the adoption of emerging database tools, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills:
Ten (10) years' experience as a DBA 
  Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional DBA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
The projected compensation range for this position is $250,000.00-$220,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
