What does a senior data strategy professional do?

A Senior Data Strategy professional is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of data-driven strategies that support an organization's business objectives. They analyze large datasets, identify trends and opportunities, and collaborate with stakeholders to align data initiatives with company goals. Their work also involves ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance, as well as leveraging data to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior data strategy professional?

At The Coca Cola Company, we are shaping a future where data, digital capabilities, and human insight come together to unlock growth, strengthen resilience, and create value across our global system. As we continue to evolve into a more connected and intelligence-driven organization, data plays a central role in how we make decisions, serve our customers and consumers, and enable our people to perform at their best.

Corporate Functions Digital is at the core of this transformation, partnering across Finance, People & Culture, Supply Chain, Legal, and other enterprise functions to deliver scalable solutions that drive impact. Within this context, the Senior Director II, Enterprise Data Strategy and Value will lead the development and advancement of a cohesive enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring alignment between business priorities, digital investments, and measurable outcomes.

This role is designed for a strategic and forward-thinking leader who can connect enterprise vision to practical execution. You will play a critical role in ensuring that data is not only well-managed but actively leveraged to generate value, accelerate decision-making, and support long-term growth across Corporate Functions and the broader enterprise.

What You’ll Do for Us
  • Lead the development and continuous evolution of an enterprise-wide data strategy, aligning Corporate Functions priorities with broader business and digital transformation goals

  • Define and embed a value realization framework that quantifies and communicates the impact of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence investments across the enterprise

  • Partner with senior leaders across functions to identify, prioritize, and scale high-impact data use cases that drive measurable business outcomes

  • Translate enterprise strategy into actionable data initiatives, ensuring alignment between business needs, digital capabilities, and platform investments

  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to enhance decision-making, increase operational efficiency, and improve employee and stakeholder experiences

  • Establish and influence governance models that promote data quality, consistency, accountability, security, and responsible use across functions

  • Collaborate with technology, platform, and architecture teams to ensure data strategy is integrated with scalable, secure, and future-ready infrastructure

  • Enable connection and integration of data across functions, supporting a unified view of enterprise performance and unlocking cross-functional insights

  • Champion data literacy and capability building, empowering leaders and teams to confidently leverage data in everyday decision-making

  • Communicate complex data strategies and insights in a clear, compelling way to drive alignment, adoption, and sustained impact at senior levels

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in data strategy, analytics, digital transformation, or related fields, including leadership experience within large, matrixed organizations

  • Proven track record of defining and delivering enterprise or cross-functional data strategies that generate measurable business value

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data management, and analytics frameworks, with the ability to operationalize them at scale

  • Experience working with modern data ecosystems, including cloud platforms, data architectures, and advanced analytics or artificial intelligence capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies without direct authority

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect enterprise priorities to data-driven opportunities

  • Experience designing and implementing value measurement frameworks for digital and analytics investments

  • High level of digital and artificial intelligence fluency, including understanding of emerging trends and responsible use of data and technology

  • Strong communication and storytelling capabilities, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights

  • Experience leading change management initiatives and driving adoption of data-driven ways of working at scale

  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture and enabling sustainable, long-term value through data and digital transformation

What We’ll Do for You
  • Provide the opportunity to shape and influence enterprise-wide data strategy, directly impacting how decisions are made across Corporate Functions and the broader organization

  • Offer exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives, enabling you to broaden your impact and leadership reach in a global, matrixed environment

  • Support your professional growth through access to advanced digital tools, continuous learning opportunities, and a strong community of data and analytics leaders

  • Enable meaningful work at the intersection of business, technology, and people, where your contributions help drive measurable outcomes and long-term value
