We’re seeking a Sr Data Engineer to work at a premier biotechnology industry leader in Juncos, PR. With us, it’s all about finding the job that’s just right.
Salary: $48.00 per hour
Shift: Administrative 8:00AM – 5:00PM, supporting 24-hour, 7-day operations Responsibilities:
  • Leading, developing, and applying data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities across the commercial organization.
  • Managing advanced analytics projects end-to-end, collaborating with business partners, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and data teams.
  • Identifying business needs, performing SWOT analysis, proposing analytical solutions, obtaining approvals, and executing projects.
  • Building high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes using Python and other relevant tools.
  • Working with SQL and other database query languages, handling large and complex datasets using distributed computing tools such as Spark and Hive.
  • Communicating analysis ideas, progress, and results to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Creating compelling presentations and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience OR  Bachelors with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Required experience: data science, business, statistics, data mining, applied mathematics, business analytics, engineering, computer science or related field experience
  • Possess specialized coursework or certificates in AI models.
  • Have hands-on experience developing AI/ML models for image analysis, defect detection, classification, or process optimization.
  • Demonstrate expertise with computer vision technologies, industrial camera systems, and frameworks such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
  • Are skilled in generating technical documentation, protocols, reports, and development records with knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Are proficient in statistical software (Minitab, JMP), coding languages (R, SAS, Python), and database languages (SQL).
  • Bring experience from regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, or manufacturing (preferred).
  • Have a passion for learning and staying at the forefront of advanced analytics and digital technologies.
